Hyderabad Task Force Seizes 10.16 Kg of Marijuana in Mallepally Raid

Investigators say the haul points to a Nagpur supply line with three suspects still at large.

Overview

  • The Special Task Force of Telangana's Prohibition and Excise Department raided a spot near a Mallepally fuel station and seized 10.16 kg of dry marijuana.
  • Officers arrested Prem Chandrakanth Hatwalne, 27, Sakat Shankar, 21, and Kasbe Raju, 40, on suspicion of transporting and selling the drug.
  • Police said they also recovered three mobile phones as evidence during the operation.
  • Three identified associates — Shivraj Hatagade, Akshay, and Jawed of Nagpur — are absconding, and a search is underway to find them.
  • The Nampally Prohibition and Excise Station is now probing an alleged supply route from Nagpur into a local wholesale network that police say fed peddlers in Mallepally.
