Hyderabad Starts H-CITI Flyover Works Near KBR Park, Puts Diversions in Place

Night construction targets minimal disruption with routes under review for early adjustments.

Overview

  • Night-time pillar and foundation activity began on February 27 at Mugdha Junction on Road No. 2, moving toward KBR Park under the H-CITI program.
  • Partial traffic diversions took effect around Jubilee Hills Check Post, KBR Park Entrance and Mugdha Junction, with slower flow but no major gridlocks reported on Saturday morning.
  • Alternate routes are being used on a need basis via Srinagar Colony, Indiranagar Labour Adda, Venkatagiri crossroads, Yousufguda and Ameerpet to balance loads on the main corridor.
  • The plan envisions seven flyovers and underpasses across the KBR Park corridor over two years to create signal-free junctions coordinated by Hyderabad Police, GHMC and Megha Engineering.
  • Commuters are urged to avoid peak hours, use public transport or carpooling, follow on-ground instructions and navigation apps, and keep heavy vehicles off the corridor during peaks, with helpline 9010203626 for assistance.
