Overview
- Hyderabad Commissioner’s Task Force and Bandlaguda police arrested three men and seized 908 kg of ganja that was being moved from Odisha to Nashik, with four collaborators reported absconding.
- Police said the load was collected in Malkangiri and concealed under a cashew shell consignment before the trio set out from Amberpet, where they were stopped at Bandlaguda.
- In a separate operation on October 21, Telangana’s EAGLE unit working with the NCB Ranchi Division intercepted a 10‑tyre lorry at Simdega, Jharkhand, and seized 500 kg of ganja, arresting driver Naseem Kamruddin of Haryana.
- Investigators traced that truck to a October 20 departure from Janpati in Malkangiri en route to Varanasi after traffickers diverted off an expected Telangana route via the Biju Expressway to avoid checks during Diwali.
- Intended receivers Mushthaq Khan and Arif, both from Haryana and residing in Varanasi, remain at large as cases are registered and agencies pursue further leads across states.
