Hyderabad Police Roll Out QR Wristbands to Safeguard Children at Medaram Jatara

A dedicated MGBS stall now issues codes that help officers quickly reunite separated children.

Overview

  • Hyderabad City Police and Vodafone Idea are implementing the initiative with support from MGBS authorities.
  • A stall at Mahatma Gandhi Bus Station in Afzalgunj opened Tuesday to enroll children and provide unique QR-coded wristbands.
  • Deputy Commissioner of Police G. Chandra Mohan inaugurated the stall in the presence of senior officials.
  • Each wristband stores the child’s name, guardian details, contact number, and residential address for swift identification.
  • Police or volunteers can scan the code to locate guardians, and Afzalgunj Police have urged parents traveling via MGBS to use the service.
