- On Thursday the Hyderabad Women Safety Wing took trainee M. Uday Krishna Reddy into police custody for questioning after a court granted two days’ custody.
- A complaint lodged at Attapur on July 18 accuses him of sexual assault, sexual harassment, stalking and offences under the IT Act over alleged threats to release private chats and creation of fake accounts.
- The accused was arrested and remanded to 14 days’ judicial custody on July 29 and has been held in Chanchalguda Central Prison since that remand.
- Deputy Commissioner of Police Lavanya Naik is leading the interrogation, which officials say is focused on digital forensics, witness statements and newly found leads about a separate close relationship.
