Hyderabad Police Probe Two Suspected Suicides Reported Over Weekend

Officers say ill health may have contributed in the Madhapur death, with both cases registered and post-mortems to be conducted.

In Madhapur’s Bikshapati Nagar, 39-year-old T. Anantha Laxmi was found unresponsive on Saturday night and was declared dead on arrival at a nearby hospital.
Police said she had sent her children out to play, later phoned her husband telling him to “stay happy,” and was discovered after the house owner forced open a locked door.
No suicide note was found in the Madhapur case, and the body was shifted to Osmania General Hospital for post-mortem as investigators examine reported health issues as a possible trigger.
Separately in Nacharam, a 50-year-old woman allegedly died by suicide after a quarrel following toddy consumption, according to Kushaiguda police.
Both incidents were reported on Saturday night, cases have been registered in each, and investigations are underway.
