Overview
- Security footage from July 22 showed Elizabeth “Liz” Waddell enter the water near a jetty at Grand Anse Beach and then drift out of camera view without being seen returning to shore.
- A family on personal watercraft reported seeing a woman they believe was Waddell about 5:30 p.m. that day, saying she was floating and treading water, spoke with them for several minutes, and declined a ride back to shore.
- Cailen Waddell said on his family’s FindLiz.com site that, based on the available information, drowning now appears the most likely outcome even though the long interval between sightings does not fully make sense to them.
- The Royal Grenada Police Force continues an active missing-person investigation and volunteers have mounted boat, drone, dive, K-9 and shoreline searches with no confirmed sign of Waddell so far.
- The family reviewed Waddell’s journals and communications and found no evidence of intent to disappear, they note she preferred flotation devices, and they continue to ask the public to share any tips that could explain the midday-to-evening gap.
