Husband Dies After Nutts Corner Crash That Killed Pregnant Wife and Unborn Baby

Detectives have opened a collision inquiry seeking witnesses or dash-cam footage under reference 735 11/01/26.

  • Police confirmed a man in his 30s who was critically injured in the crash on Sunday died in hospital on Tuesday evening.
  • Cathrene Kith Quiñones Singco, a Filipino healthcare worker in her 30s, died in hospital on Monday and her unborn baby also died; she had been a backseat passenger.
  • The collision occurred around 2pm on 11 January on Moira Road near Nutts Corner and involved a blue Ford Fiesta and a silver Skoda Superb, with six others sustaining minor injuries.
  • NIAS dispatched six ambulances, two HART teams and the Charity Air Ambulance; four patients were taken to Antrim Area Hospital and four to the Royal Victoria Hospital.
  • PSNI’s Collision Investigation Unit is appealing for witnesses and dash-cam footage quoting reference 735 11/01/26, and a joint funeral notice for the couple and their baby has been posted by O'Kanes Funeral Directors.
