Hubert Fella Leaves Rehab After Five-Week Recovery From Brain Clot

His Instagram update sets a recovery target of full health by the end of August.

Overview

  • The 58-year-old reality star announced on Instagram that he will finish a five-week rehabilitation stay and return home this week.
  • He was first admitted on May 20 after severe dizziness and an MRI diagnosed a cerebral venous thrombosis, a blood clot in the brain's venous system.
  • In early June surgeons at Rhön-Klinikum Bad Neustadt performed a five-hour operation to remove the clot and fitted titanium plates at the back of his skull.
  • Fella spent about two weeks in hospital followed by three weeks at the Bavaria Klinik in Bad Kissingen and has posted regular video updates to fans during recovery.
  • He says he aims to be fully recovered by the end of August, plans a cautious, step-by-step return to normal life, and so far media reports note no new complications.
