Overview
- Huawei’s Watch Fit 5 series, introduced Thursday at a Bangkok launch, is on sale now via the Huawei Store with UK prices set at £159.99 for the Fit 5 and £249.99 for the Fit 5 Pro.
- The Pro model upgrades the hardware with a 1.92-inch LTPO OLED display under 2.5D sapphire glass, 3,000-nit peak brightness and thin 1.8mm bezels, while the standard Fit 5 uses a 1.82-inch screen rated to 2,500 nits.
- Health and sport tools expand well beyond basics, with ECG, improved atrial fibrillation analysis, arterial stiffness readings, a depth sensor for free-diving to 40 meters, automatic cycling detection with virtual power and cadence, and vector maps for more than 17,000 golf courses.
- Huawei claims up to 10 days on light use and about 7 days on typical use, and early testing reports multi-day endurance and very accurate cycling tracking that starts and pauses automatically based on movement.
- Cross-platform support reaches iOS and Android, contactless payments work via Curve in supported markets, popular fitness apps like Strava, Komoot and TrainingPeaks sync workouts, and regional rollouts are underway with South Africa set for mid-May at R3,499.
