Overview
- HrdWyr, which announced the round Tuesday, raised $13 million led by Ideaspring Capital with Singularity AMC, Avatar Growth Capital and Persistent Systems participating.
- The startup said it will use the funds to speed development of its AI-native system-on-chip line and to grow customer pilots and deployments in global markets.
- Its chips target real-time tasks at the edge with low power draw and low latency, which can extend battery life and speed responses in devices across consumer electronics, EVs, white goods and data centers.
- Founded in 2023 by Ramamurthy Sivakumar and Guruswamy Ganesh, HrdWyr runs a fabless model and builds full products that embed AI in the chip so data can be sensed and processed on-device.
- The raise lands as India expands its semiconductor push through ISM incentives and new Gujarat projects, with Inc42 estimating a $155 billion market by 2031 and more than 130 domestic chip startups.
