- HP, which staged an India launch on Monday, unveiled more than 20 devices led by the OmniPad 12 tablet.
- The 12-inch Android detachable runs a Qualcomm Snapdragon SM6475Q chip with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, starts at ₹48,999, and ships in June through HP’s store, Amazon, Reliance Retail and HP World.
- HP is aiming the OmniPad at students, first-time PC buyers, MSMEs and mobile workers, with a detachable keyboard and a claimed 18-hour battery for light productivity.
- The broader lineup adds new EliteBook, ProBook and OmniBook laptops focused on on-device AI, with HP previewing HP IQ and NearSense for device discovery, screen casting, document analysis and meeting notes later this year.
- HP also introduced the EliteBoard G1a, a keyboard with an AI PC inside that it claims is a first, while analysts flagged stiff competition from iPad and major Android brands and warned that tight memory supplies could shape pricing and stock.
