Overview
- On Thursday, July 16, vehicles with hologram 1 or 2, green engomado and plate endings 1 and 2 were restricted from 05:00 to 22:00 and authorities reported that pollutant levels stayed below contingency thresholds so the Doble Hoy No Circula was not activated.
- For Friday, July 17 the calendar moved to restrict holograms 1 and 2 with blue engomado and plate endings 9 and 0 under the same 05:00–22:00 schedule and air‑quality reports again showed conditions below the level that would force escalation.
- Saturday rules differ from weekdays and on July 18 the program limits vehicles by hologram and plate endings following the official calendar, so drivers should check the daily schedule before traveling.
- Exemptions include vehicles with holograms 00 and 0, electric and hybrid cars, motorcycles, public transport, emergency units and accredited disability plates while violations can draw fines of 20–30 UMA and possible vehicle impoundment.
- The program covers the 16 alcaldías of CDMX and 18 conurbated State of México municipalities and CAMe/Dirección de Monitoreo Atmosférico update IMECA readings in near real time so authorities can change measures the same day if index values pass the contingency trigger.
