- The daily schedule rotates by engomado color, plate endings and verification hologram, with examples in late May including restrictions for red (plates ending 3 and 4), green (1 and 2) and blue (9 and 0) groups.
- Restrictions run from 05:00 to 22:00 across all 16 Mexico City alcaldías and multiple adjoining Estado de México municipalities, and traffic officers may fine or tow vehicles that fail to comply.
- A wide set of exemptions apply, including electric and hybrid cars with hologram 0/00, public transport, emergency vehicles, motorcycles and vehicles with disability plates, plus several Sedema-authorized permits.
