- SiriusXM and HBO Max confirmed on Monday that The Howard Stern Show will be filmed during the live SiriusXM broadcast and debut on HBO Max on Thursday, Sept. 17, with new episodes released each subsequent Thursday.
- Howard Stern will resume a single live SiriusXM show on Sept. 14 under a three-year deal that keeps him with the platform through 2028.
- The filmed episodes will be produced by The Howard Stern Production Company and captured by a multi-camera rig reported at 40 cameras, with each weekly streamable episode to include periodic extras.
- SiriusXM is reworking Stern’s channel lineup by removing Howard 101 and moving remaining Stern content to Howard 100, and earlier summer reports say roughly a dozen staffers were laid off as the show scaled back.
- The deal brings Stern’s decades-long radio archive and studio format to a global streaming audience and follows his long history of TV experiments since moving from terrestrial radio to SiriusXM in 2006.
