Overview
- The marathon and half marathon start at Congress and Fannin and finish at Lamar and Crawford, with wheelchair and handcycle at 6:35 a.m., half-marathon elites at 6:45 a.m., and marathon elites at 6:55 a.m.
- Start-area streets begin closing around 5:15–5:30 a.m. Sunday, with several downtown blocks restricted until about 8:30 a.m., so spectators are urged to arrive before the closures take effect.
- Downtown streets near the George R. Brown Convention Center and Discovery Green face multi-day shutdowns from Friday through Sunday, including sections of Avenida De Las Americas and McKinney.
- Freeway impacts include US 59/I-69 closures to and from SH-288 from Friday 9 p.m. to Monday 5 a.m., plus race-morning ramp closures on the 610 West Loop to Hidalgo/Richmond and I-69 southbound to Newcastle.
- Parking is available in private lots and garages with card or app payment recommended as cash is not accepted, METRO rail and buses will operate with detours, and race morning is forecast in the low 40s with wind chills in the 30s.
