- Sony Pictures Animation and Amazon MGM Studios announced on Monday that The Haunting of Hotel Transylvania will open in theaters on October 8, 2027.
- Sony will handle North American distribution while Amazon MGM Studios will manage theatrical releases in major international territories including the U.K., France, Germany, Spain, Mexico, Italy, Australia, Brazil and New Zealand.
- Jennifer Kluska and Alan Hawkins are set to direct, Lawrence Jonas will produce, and Genndy Tartakovsky with Michelle Murdocca will serve as executive producers to guide the sequel’s creative direction.
- Casting remains largely unannounced aside from Keegan-Michael Key confirming he will return as Murray the mummy, while prior principal voices such as Selena Gomez, Andy Samberg and Adam Sandler were not listed in the announcement.
