Horizon Hunters Gathering Sets Second Closed Playtest for May 22–25

Access is limited to selected registrants through PlayStation's Beta Program.

Overview

  • Sony and Guerrilla announced Tuesday a second closed test running May 22–25 on PS5 and PC (Steam), with sign-ups handled through the PlayStation Beta Program and no guarantee of entry.
  • The build adds two playable Hunters, Ensa and Shadow, alongside updated versions of Rem, Sun, and Axle based on feedback from the first test.
  • A new story Episode and the Breakers’ Bounty region are included, and Training Modules and NPC hunter allies are added to help onboard and support solo players.
  • Machine Incursion now offers Hard and Merciless settings, while Cauldron Descent features tougher rooms to raise the challenge.
  • Guerrilla says the project remains in early development with small, closed tests, and it has not announced a release date or whether the game will be free-to-play or paid.
