Overview
- HONOR rolled out the Magic V6 this week with Philippines pre-orders running Aug. 25–Sept. 4 and South African availability confirmed for Sept. 1 with local pricing and carrier bundles.
- The Magic V6 is a book-style foldable with a 7.95-inch inner display, 6.52-inch outer screen, Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, an ultra-thin 8.75mm folded chassis and a 6,660mAh silicon-carbon battery that supports 80W wired and 66W wireless charging.
- Early hands-on reviews praise the device’s build, flagship performance and unusually long battery life but call out a visible inner-screen crease, inconsistent split-screen behavior that blocks some apps, preinstalled third-party apps and heat under sustained heavy loads.
- HONOR also showcased the Robot Phone, a gimbal-style device with a 4-DoF mechanical arm and an ARRI Cinematic Imaging Partnership that brings ARRI color and workflow tools to mobile imaging, although the Robot Phone remains China‑exclusive for now.
- By pushing endurance, thinness and cross-platform sharing with Apple and Google services and by using regional promotions, HONOR is trying to position the Magic V6 as a productivity-first alternative to rival foldables while software polish and hinge/thermal durability remain key adoption risks.
