Honda’s 2026 CR-V Facelift Puts Hybrids Front and Center in Australia
Lower hybrid prices signal Honda’s push to make electrified family SUVs the default.
Overview
- Honda has launched the updated CR-V in Australia with four hybrid grades, expanding from a single hybrid in the prior range.
- Hybrid pricing runs from $49,900 drive-away for the e:HEV X to $64,400 for the flagship e:HEV RS.
- All-wheel drive is now offered on the e:HEV LX and RS, while the only seven-seat option remains the petrol VTi L7.
- The update adds Google Built-in across the range, and the RS gains ventilated front seats, heated rear outboard seats, a heated steering wheel and a head-up display.
- Early drives report quiet, efficient cruising from the hybrids but higher fuel use and strained performance on long climbs, and the model keeps a 2024 four-star ANCAP rating with a five-year vehicle warranty, eight-year hybrid battery cover and $199 capped services.
