Hollywood Studios to Close Early on October 20 for Gartner Corporate Buyout

The single-day buyout shortens public evening access, pushing guests toward other parks and Disney Springs for evening plans.

Overview

  • Disney’s Hollywood Studios will operate 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on October 20, 2026, because the Gartner IT Symposium/Xpo has reserved the park for a private evening from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m.
  • Magic Kingdom is running Mickey’s Not‑So‑Scary Halloween Party on 38 select nights through October 31, which ends regular park hours early on those dates and has already seen multiple parties sell out.
  • On Halloween party nights the event’s exclusive entertainment replaces the normal nighttime shows, so guests without a separate party ticket will not see Happily Ever After or Disney Starlight on those evenings.
  • Disney has shifted Extended Evening Hours among parks for Deluxe Resort guests, and the single-night Hollywood Studios buyout combined with party nights is expected to move more evening crowds to EPCOT, Animal Kingdom, and Disney Springs.
  • Disney Springs is offering wide Halloween programming, seasonal food, and merchandise through October 31 with no park ticket required, providing an accessible alternative for guests who cannot attend party nights or want to avoid park closures.
