Holi Transit Changes in Delhi-NCR: Metro From 2:30 PM, Namo Bharat and Meerut Metro From 5 PM

Officials say the limited morning service is a safety measure during low festival ridership.

Overview

  • Delhi Metro services on all lines, including the Airport Express, remain suspended until 2:30 pm, then resume from terminal stations and run to the normal timetable.
  • Namo Bharat and Meerut Metro services are paused until 5:00 pm and will operate between 5:00 pm and 10:00 pm on March 4.
  • Delhi Transport Corporation buses are off the roads until 2:00 pm, with only 25% of the fleet deployed afterward.
  • DMRC advises commuters not to carry flammable items or open containers of colours and to follow safety norms inside stations.
  • NCRTC says regular Namo Bharat and Meerut Metro hours are standardized to 6:00 am–10:00 pm daily, with the Holi schedule treated as a one-day exception.
