Holi Metro Schedules Set: Delhi Starts at 2:30 PM on March 4, Kolkata Runs Afternoon-Only on March 3

Agencies say the festival timings are set to control crowds, with riders advised to plan for afternoon departures.

  • Service counts in Kolkata are sharply reduced: Blue 60 of 272, Green 45 of 228, Yellow 44 of 120, Purple 38 of 84, and Orange 28 of 62, per the operator’s notice.
  • Last-train timings in Kolkata largely remain unchanged, though the 9:38 pm Blue Line run from Dakshineswar to Mahanayak Uttam Kumar will not operate that day.
  • On Holi (March 4), Delhi Metro services across all lines, including the Airport Express, will begin from 2:30 pm, after which trains will run on the normal schedule.
  • NCRTC says Namo Bharat and Meerut Metro services will operate only from 5 pm to 10 pm on March 4, with morning and afternoon services suspended.
