Overview
- Per capita income is estimated at Rs 2,83,626 for 2025–26, up 9.8% over last year and higher than the national average.
- Services lead with 46.3% of GSVA and projected 8.6% growth, followed by the secondary sector at 39.4% (7.7%) and the primary sector at 14.3% (8.4%).
- Tourism has rebounded strongly, with domestic arrivals rising from 32.13 lakh in 2020 to 3.11 crore in 2025, and the sector contributing 7.77% to GSVA.
- Hydropower remains a key revenue source, with Rs 1,668 crore earned through December 2025 and an additional Rs 249 crore expected by March 2026; HPSEBL generation is on track to exceed 2,200 MU.
