Hilton and Extell Announce Waldorf Astoria Deer Valley for 2028 Opening

Positioned in East Village, the luxury project anchors Deer Valley’s expansion following a doubling of the resort’s terrain.

Overview

  • Extell Development Company and Hilton have signed to develop a ski-in, ski-out Waldorf Astoria resort and residences in Park City, with construction underway since May 2025 and an opening targeted for 2028.
  • The property will feature 132 hotel keys and 105 branded residences, including 56 hotel residences above the hotel and 49 private residences in a standalone tower.
  • Set beside Deer Valley’s Green Monster run, the development sits within the multi-phased East Village program that is part of a broader expansion doubling the resort’s skiable acreage.
  • Planned amenities include a 15,000-square-foot spa, fitness centers, ski valet, an indoor lap pool, an outdoor pool and hot tub cantilevered over the slope, multiple dining venues with Peacock Alley, and 11,300 square feet of meeting space including a 5,200-square-foot ballroom.
  • Summit Sotheby’s International Realty will handle residence sales, owners will receive Hilton Honors Diamond status, the design team includes KPF and AvroKO, and neighboring projects include the open Grand Hyatt, a Canopy by Hilton slated for this summer, and a planned Four Seasons.
