Hiker Seriously Injured in 4-Meter Fall on Rübezahlstiege Near Schmilka

  • Eight Bergwacht Bad Schandau members, a DRK Sebnitz ambulance and the DRF helicopter Christoph 62 from Bautzen responded under snow, ice and downed trees.
  • A doctor was lowered by winch for on-site care, and the patient was hoisted out and flown to hospital with serious injuries as officials renewed safety warnings for winter routes.
