Hero's VIDA Launches in Nepal With VX2 Scooter and Dirt.e K3

The company is selling commuter VX2 scooters and a youth-focused Dirt.e K3 through a distributor deal with Nepal’s Chaudhary Group as VIDA’s first export market.

Overview

  • Hero MotoCorp announced Monday that its dedicated electric brand VIDA has entered Nepal through a distribution partnership with CG Motors of the Chaudhary Group.
  • The initial lineup includes the VX2 family sold as VX2 Plus and VX2 Go, both using removable battery packs that can be charged from a 5A home socket and via DC fast charging.
  • Hero claims the VX2 Plus pairs two 2.2 kWh removable batteries for a 4.4 kWh total, a claimed real-world range of 140 km, a top speed of 90 km/h and DC charging from 0–80% in about 65 minutes.
  • The Dirt.e K3 is positioned for younger riders with a three-size adjustable chassis, app-based parental controls to limit speed and acceleration, a 350 W motor with a removable 360 Wh battery, and it has won Red Dot Design and CES Innovation recognition.
  • The launch leverages Hero’s decade-plus presence in Nepal and the Chaudhary Group’s retail reach, and it signals the start of VIDA’s overseas rollout with further models reportedly in development and wider market entries expected to follow.
