Overview
- The game launched into PC early access on April 30, 2026, and sold roughly 250,000 copies on day one, which the studio says covered its development costs within 24 hours.
- Unfrozen and publisher Hooded Horse confirmed on May 28 that Olden Era has passed one million copies sold across Steam and the Microsoft Store and was available day one on PC Game Pass.
- The newly published roadmap lays out near-term work for Q3–Q4 2026 that focuses on stability, regular patches, hero skill rebalances, Random Map Generator improvements, teamplay (co-op) mode, observer mode, replays, and matchmaking updates.
- Later early access stages plan larger systems and content such as an underground/netherworld map layer, a Thieves' Guild, new high-tier neutral creatures, an Ironman campaign mode, and other systemic reworks.
- Stage 4 (full 1.0) is slated to add the campaign’s second and third acts, map sharing and a teased PvE roguelike mode, but the studio warns roadmap items and timing remain subject to change as development follows player feedback.
