Overview
- Hero introduced the Passion+ Disc in late June with an ex-showroom Delhi price of Rs. 84,128, which is Rs. 3,800 higher than the Passion+ drum variant.
- The primary mechanical change is a 240 mm front disc brake that replaces the front drum while the rear remains a 130 mm drum supported by Hero’s Integrated Braking System.
- The bike keeps the same 97.2 cc single-cylinder engine, 4-speed gearbox and i3S idle stop-start system, with Hero claiming a certified fuel economy of 71 km per litre and a kerb weight of about 116 kg.
- New convenience and safety kit includes a fully digital Bluetooth instrument cluster with call and SMS alerts, real-time mileage readout, service reminders, an LED projector headlamp, USB charging and a side-stand engine cut-off.
- By adding a front disc and connected instruments for a small price premium, Hero is repositioning the Passion+ as a more practical choice for daily commuters and could pressure rivals in the 100cc segment to offer similar braking and connectivity features.
