Overview
- Organisers confirmed a ticketed event called The Dream Girl’s Diamond Jubilee Concert will take place at Shanmukhananda Hall on July 10 to mark Hema Malini’s six decades in film.
- At a CINTAA press announcement in late May, organisers unveiled the concert trailer and poster and said Malini will sing live on stage for the first time and perform a surprise finale song.
- RJ Anirudh Chawla is directing the show in a ‘Legends ki Kahani, Legends ki Zubaani’ format with a 15-piece live orchestra to revisit milestones from Malini’s filmography.
- Several veteran artists including Padmini Kolhapure, Sudesh Bhosale, Kavita Krishnamurthy, Suresh Wadkar, Anup Jalota and Anu Malik are confirmed to perform and participate in onstage conversations.
- Organisers said the celebration will extend beyond the concert with a co‑authored book to be published by Rupa Publications and a documentary in development, and a portion of ticket sales will be donated to CINTAA to support industry workers.
