- Traffic clubs warned that the main departure peak is under way and that Wednesday afternoon will be the single busiest travel window for the June 3–7 Fronleichnam period.
- Authorities have activated local exit and through-traffic bans on secondary roads and will run full closures on key stretches such as the A1 (Ladbergen–Lengerich) and A96 (München‑Blumenau–München‑Laim).
- A statutory truck driving ban for vehicles over 7.5 tonnes will be in force on Thursday from 00:00 to 22:00 in the states that observe Fronleichnam, which will shift some freight to the days before and after.
- Reinforced German border checks and Austria’s blockabfertigung for heavy trucks are likely to cause extra delays at crossings including Walserberg (A8), Kiefersfelden (A93) and Suben (A3).
- Drivers should expect long delays on major north–south and west–east routes and urban rings, plan extra travel time, avoid the Wednesday afternoon peak when possible and follow local detour and ban signage to reduce impact on villages.
