Overview
- The band announced Wednesday, August 19, 2026, that Kill Rock Stars will release Baby’s Gone on October 16, 2026, a 16-track archival collection.
- Baby’s Gone pairs a newly rediscovered February 1992 demo with the 1993 These Monsters Are Real and 1994 Direction 7-inch recordings to form the full tracklist.
- Bratmobile’s Molly Neuman recorded the original demo on a borrowed Tascam, wrote new liner notes for the release, and a limited-edition reproduction of the demo cassette with recreated artwork is planned.
- Tucker and Sawyer reunited this summer for their first Heavens to Betsy show in more than 30 years and will tour from Oct. 16 in Minneapolis through Nov. 22 in Durham, N.C., to coincide with the release.
- The preview single “Ain’t Never Goin’ Back” and press materials emphasize lyrics about rape culture, body shaming, queerness, and female solidarity, linking the archive to the Olympia DIY scene and current debates about gender and community.
