Overview
- HBO and the BBC announced Monday that Half Man will debut April 23 on HBO and Max and April 24 on BBC iPlayer, with a 9 p.m. ET/PT start in the US and a 6 a.m. drop in the UK.
- Episodes will roll out weekly, with BBC One and BBC Scotland airing each installment later in the week after its iPlayer release.
- The six-part drama stars Richard Gadd opposite Jamie Bell and opens with a violent wedding-day incident that sends the story back through 30 years of the characters’ lives.
- The series was filmed in and around Glasgow and is directed by Alexandra Brodski and Eshref Reybrouck for Mam Tor Productions in association with Thistledown Pictures.
- Banijay Rights is handling distribution outside the BBC and HBO, Screen Scotland supported the production, and the ensemble includes Mitchell Robertson, Stuart Campbell, Neve McIntosh and Marianne McIvor, with no trailer released yet.
