Overview
- The 11th Hay Festival Arequipa is underway from November 6–9 following its noon inauguration at the Biblioteca Mario Vargas Llosa and an opening concert by Afra Kane.
- A multi-format homage to Mario Vargas Llosa anchors this year’s program, launching with conversations on his legacy at the Teatro Municipal.
- Organizers unveiled the commemorative volume La palabra es fuego with Fondo de Cultura Económica and donated 50 copies to the regional library that bears the author’s name.
- A photographic exhibition by Morgana Vargas Llosa at Casa Tristán del Pozo was inaugurated and is slated to open to the public on November 8.
