Overview
- The recall became public in mid-April after a federal notice followed a March report of inoperable rear brakes on a 2025 FXLRST.
- About 16,994 motorcycles are covered, including 2025–2026 FLHC, FXBB, FXLRS, and FXLRST models built from October 2024 through March 2026.
- Harley-Davidson has halted shipments of the affected models and will replace the Body Control Module caddy and related hardware at no cost.
- Dealers and owners will be notified by mail from late April into May, with outlets citing May 18 or May 25 for owner letters depending on the report.
- No injuries or deaths have been reported; riders are advised to watch for brake fluid under the bike or weaker rear braking and to check their VIN or call 1-800-258-2464.
