Harlequins Land England Full-Back George Furbank From Northampton

A signing announced Wednesday between Harlequins and England full-back George Furbank will take effect this summer after a decade at Northampton.
Head coach Jason Gilmore said Furbank brings composure, a second-playmaker skill set and leadership that match Harlequins’ attacking style.
He is expected to link with fly-half Marcus Smith as Harlequins chase more creativity after just three league wins and a Champions Cup exit to Sale.
Saints rugby director Phil Dowson said the club made a retention offer, accepted Furbank’s decision and will look to George Hendy, Edoardo Todaro and James Pater at full-back.
Furbank owns 14 England caps, missed the recent Six Nations after injury-hit seasons and has hit form with a try against Castres to help Saints into a European quarter-final.
