Overview
- Organizers released the first wave of performers on Wednesday, July 22, naming acts such as My Morning Jacket, Gillian Welch & David Rawlings and Old Crow Medicine Show.
- The free, three-day festival is set to return to Golden Gate Park from Oct. 2–4 with multiple stages and no ticket required.
- A benefit concert titled “An Evening Honoring Steve Earle” is scheduled for Oct. 1 at the Masonic and will feature an all‑star cast including Earle, Emmylou Harris and Jackson Browne.
- Hardly Strictly also revived its Out of the Park series of festival-week shows at Bay Area venues to raise money for the Sweet Relief Bay Area Musicians Fund, with early bookings at Sweetwater Music Hall, the Fillmore and Great American Music Hall.
- The festival continues to be underwritten by the Warren Hellman foundation, which preserves its free-access model, and organizers say more lineup waves and the full schedule will be released in the coming months.
