Hardin County Deputies Investigate Robbery and Assault in Cecilia

Deputies responded to a reported robbery and assault on the 5000 block of Hardinsburg Road in Cecilia in the early morning hours and a person was injured and taken to Baptist Health Hardin.
Officials said the victim’s injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening.
Detectives executed a search warrant at a residence connected to the case and collected evidence as part of the active investigation.
The Hardin County Sheriff’s Office said it does not believe there is an ongoing threat to the public and is asking anyone with information to call 270-765-5133 or submit anonymous tips to Hardin County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-597-8123.
Investigators are working to identify those responsible and say the newly collected evidence could be used to support identification and possible charges as the probe continues.
