- The trial opened Jan. 19, 2026, offering 10 bookable spaces at the Lidl on Carl-Petersen-Straße 55 in Hamburg-Hamm from 18:00 to 08:00.
- Spots are reserved through the Wemolo app, with optional week and month packages priced at €12 and €30.
- Only a fraction of roughly 60 spaces is included to keep customer parking available, and daytime use remains limited to shoppers; previously, unauthorized night parking could incur a €35 fine.
- The program seeks to ease residential parking pressure and reduce traffic from drivers searching for spaces, according to Hamburg’s traffic chief Anjes Tjarks.
