Overview
- West Yorkshire Police were called shortly before 8am to reports of concern for a man's safety on North Bridge, part of the A58 New Bank in Halifax.
- Officers and other emergency services attended and closed the A58 in both directions during the response.
- Traffic queued from the A629 Orange Street to the A647 Haley Hill, with congestion on Boothtown Road, Ovenden Road and Leeds Road.
- The man was brought to safety before 11am and is now receiving support from Yorkshire Ambulance Service.
- Police said roads that were closed during the incident have since been reopened.
