Overview
- Kebin Dong, 38, and Wei Nie, 40, were arrested Feb. 12 at their Hacienda Heights home following a yearlong investigation.
- Detectives with the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office Special Crimes Unit identified the pair as primary operators of an internet platform used to facilitate commercial sex.
- The network linked more than 60 female profiles to over 30 residential and hotel brothels statewide, including locations in Ventura County.
- Search warrants executed Feb. 11–12 in Ventura and Los Angeles counties led to multiple women being contacted and connected with victim-service providers.
- Both suspects were booked on pimping, pandering, and conspiracy charges with bail set at $200,000 each, and they remain in custody as investigators assess potential additional suspects and the total number of victims.
