Gunman Sought After Narooma Hotel Shooting, Robbery and Carjacking

Police urge Crime Stoppers tips following the recovery of a burnt-out stolen LandCruiser.

  • Emergency crews were called about 10.30pm Friday to a Campbell Street hotel in Narooma on the NSW south coast.
  • A 31-year-old man was shot during the armed robbery, treated by paramedics, and taken to Moruya Hospital in a stable condition.
  • Police say the offender threatened patrons and stole cash before leaving the premises.
  • The gunman then forced a 17-year-old from a Toyota LandCruiser in a nearby car park and fled in the vehicle.
  • The SUV was found burnt out on the Princes Highway and extinguished by Fire and Rescue NSW, with the suspect still at large as detectives appeal for information via Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
