Overview
- Acting on inputs vetted through technical surveillance and human intelligence, a joint Gujarat ATS–Rajasthan SOG–district police team raided APL Pharma in Bhiwadi’s RIICO industrial area on December 28.
- Police said they seized about 5 kg of Alprazolam and roughly 17 kg of a Prazepam–Temazepam mixture, along with precursor and semi‑processed chemicals.
- The three arrested at the site were identified as Anshul Anilkumar Shastri, Akhilesh Parasnath Maurya, and Krishnakumar Shrei Yadav, with an NDPS case registered at Bhiwadi Phase‑3 (UIT) Sector‑3 police station under Sections 8 and 22.
- A preliminary inquiry alleges Shastri’s firm Ansh Trading procured raw materials, Maurya handled procurement and logistics, Yadav oversaw production, and supplies went to an identified distributor named Sunny Yadav.
- Officials said the investigation now focuses on the supply network and money trail, and they noted this was the second major Rajasthan bust in December after a December 8 Jodhpur operation that seized 40 kg of liquid mephedrone and led to six arrests.
