Guerrilla Unveils Horizon Hunters Gathering, a Three-Player Co-Op Horizon Spin-Off for PS5 and PC

Development is still early with no release window as Guerrilla opens sign-ups for a late-February closed playtest.

Overview

  • Teams of up to three take on replayable hunts across two modes: Machine Incursion’s wave assaults with a boss and Cauldron Descent’s multi-stage trials with branching rooms and rewards.
  • A fully canon narrative campaign exists and supports solo play with NPC companions or co-op, but it will not be part of the upcoming public test.
  • The first small-scale playtest begins at the end of February on PS5 and PC, with sign-ups available now through the PlayStation Beta Program.
  • Cross-play and cross-progression are supported between PS5 and PC for players using the same PlayStation account.
  • Players choose from an initial roster of three distinct Hunters with class roles and a roguelite perk system, and prepare in the Hunters Gathering social hub to customize characters and upgrade gear.
