Overview
- Deputies in Broken Bow, who responded just before 1 a.m. Saturday, found 21-year-old Braden Uhlmann with a gunshot wound and he later died at a hospital.
- Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation agents said Nolan Engel, 22, was with Uhlmann at a cabin off Rockhill Circle and was arrested on a second-degree murder charge.
- Court records reported by local outlet KXII say Engel admitted he was the shooter and said he fired a 9mm after hearing knocking and seeing a shadow outside the cabin.
- Engel posted a $250,000 bond and was released from the McCurtain County Jail, according to local reports.
