Overview
- Taskforce Falcon detectives, supported by the Raptor Squad, executed a search warrant at a Glenfield home on Tuesday morning and uncovered six grenades, multiple semi-automatic rifles, four shotguns, a pistol, firearm parts and more than 1,000 rounds of ammunition.
- Police also seized a multi-kilogram drug haul including about 6 kg of cocaine, 15 kg of cannabis, 1.1 kg of heroin, around 1 kg each of methylamphetamine and ketamine, roughly 106–107 g of MDMA, electronic devices and about $9,000 in cash.
- A 26-year-old man and a 26-year-old woman were arrested and taken to Campbelltown Police Station; the man faces numerous weapons, drugs and organised-crime charges and was refused bail, while the woman was charged with involvement in a drug premises and granted conditional bail.
- NSW Police officials said the find shows the level of violence posed by organised-crime networks and framed the raid as evidence of why Taskforce Falcon was created to target gangland activity.
- The seized drugs have an estimated street value of up to about $3 million and the arrests will be followed by court appearances in Campbelltown as police continue investigations to disrupt related organised-crime networks.
