Greg James Sets 1,000km Tandem Ride From Weymouth to Edinburgh for Red Nose Day

The eight-day challenge will be broadcast live across Radio 1, Morning Live and BBC Sounds to drive donations.

Overview

  • The ride runs from 13 to 20 March, starting during his Radio 1 Breakfast Show and finishing in Edinburgh on Red Nose Day.
  • Organisers expect at least eight hours of cycling per day across the eight-stage route.
  • Fellow Radio 1 presenters, special guests and selected listeners will join sections of the tandem journey.
  • The route highlights communities supported by Comic Relief, including a York-to-Sunderland leg through County Durham on 18 March.
  • This is James’s third major Comic Relief effort after the 2016 Gregathlon and 2018 Pedal To The Peaks.
