Overview
- Granola launched its Apple Watch app on Tuesday, July 28, and the app is free to install for devices running watchOS 11 or later.
- The watch app starts transcription with one tap, shows a green visual cue and an audible confirmation when recording, offers a watch-face complication and delivers scheduled reminders.
- Captured audio is combined with anything the user types to produce synced notes, full summaries, decisions and action items that appear on Mac, iPhone and Windows clients.
- The company chose a watchOS client instead of a separate hardware recorder as a faster path to wrist-based capture and recently closed a $125 million Series C led by Index Ventures that made it a unicorn.
