- Grande Prairie RCMP say 32-year-old Joseph Kidd faces more than a dozen charges tied to four alleged victims aged 12 to 18.
- Investigators say a 14-year-old from British Columbia told police she met Kidd online and was taken to his Grande Prairie home in mid-April and held there for about a week.
- Kidd was first released from custody on April 30 and again on June 1 under court conditions and cash bail, and police say some alleged offences occurred while he was on those releases.
- Reports on June 18 included a 15-year-old who said she was followed, offered alcohol and taken to Kidd’s home and a mother who said a 12-year-old was nearly lured toward a yellow Chevrolet Camaro that police later linked to Kidd.
- Kidd was remanded into custody after a June 22 court appearance, is due back in court July 2, and police have urged anyone with information or other possible victims to contact Grande Prairie RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
