Gran Turismo 7 Unveils Free Spec IV Update With 12 Cars and Two Tracks

Spec IV restores a classic circuit, overhauls how players access used and legend cars, and adds new accessibility and multiplayer systems with a full reveal set for October 3, 2026.

Overview

  • Series producer Kazunori Yamauchi announced Spec IV on September 3, 2026, as a free, two-part expansion that will arrive in October and December 2026.
  • October’s drop will add Sportsland SUGO, six cars, a new Spec IV cinematic, a Vintage section for discontinued models, a Car Concierge ordering service, Experience challenges, a Car Viewer, and a higher Collector Level cap.
  • December’s release will return Autumn Ring with both its original layout and an expanded layout, add six more cars, introduce Family Mode, Shuffle Race, Online Drift Trial, an evolved Gran Turismo Sophy, and a new Power Pack difficulty.
  • Polyphony has shown several confirmed cars in announcement assets, including the BMW M5 E60, Citroën 2CV6, Mazda RX-Vision GT3 revision, and the Mugen Motul Civic Si Group A, with six vehicles still to be revealed.
  • The Car Concierge and Vintage sections could change how limited-rotation used and legend dealerships work for players, and Polyphony will reveal remaining car lists and mode specifics at the Gran Turismo World Series Round 3 event in Singapore on October 3, 2026.
